This gallery is reflective of a daily sketch practice using Procreate to quickly, intuitively, and efficiently prototype ideas through line, shape, and color. In these sketches I experiment with gesture and mark making. Much of the color is influenced by botanical references and 90s cartoons, especially those airing on Nickelodeon. Transparency, opacity, and layering has been a significant part of my creative practice since studying Printmaking in undergrad.
This gallery contains explorations influenced by the Op Art movement as it relates to tiling, tessellations, and primary colors. These tiles feature rotation, symmetry, and variety in order to maximize diversity within defined boundaries.
